In the work of Nora Hansen (she/her, German-Irish), narratives are intricately crafted through language and code. Her diverse practice – spanning textiles, poetry, performance, drawing, sculpture, and installation – originates from a deep fascination with storytelling, role-play, psychoanalysis, and feminist discourse. Drawing from both real as well as historical and future-oriented events, her work invites viewers to engage with their own narrative consciousness. (Lisa Oord, 2023)

Nora completed her studies at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf as Meisterschülerin under Rosemarie Trockel and has received scholarships from Kulturamt Köln, Kunststiftung NRW and Ministry of Culture, NRW, Germany.
