In Nora Hansen’s (she/her) work, narratives are created and methodically designed through languages and codes. Her works – which include textiles, poetry, performance, drawing, sculpture and installation – find their starting point in an interest in psychoanalysis, story telling, role-play, and feminist discourse. In connection with partly real as well as historical and functional future-oriented events, the resulting perspectives embrace the viewer’s own narrative consciousness. (Lisa Oord, 2023)

Nora completed her studies at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf as Meisterschülerin under Rosemarie Trockel and has received scholarships from Kulturamt Köln, Kunststiftung NRW and Ministry of Culture NRW.
